I am at an RPG con! We just played a Mass Effect RPG. I got to be Mordin.

So, what I'm gathering here is that Renegade Shep tried to respond to the crocodile in the usual way and punch it in the face.

Well, surprisingly, the crocodile actually went for Shepard's arm! He did spend the rest of the encounter punching it in the face as it tried to drag him back towards the river. Finally, Liara killed it with a biotic throw, which made its corpse drag Shepard another few squares, and it was hilarious.

Sadly, Mordin's tech power draws for that encounter had been pretty lacklustre - well, not the case, some of them were fantastic, but they only worked on synthetics. And these weren't robot crocodiles. So he just ran around using Incinerate! on various crocodiles and hoping it stuck.

I think he also used Neural Shock once.
